Chök

Chök is a chain of chocolate products stores. They make donuts, cakes, chocolate bars, little chocolate candies, and all sorts of beautiful chocolate things. They have five stores all over Barcelona so you won't have issues finding it.

Kinder Kronut

For the introduction, I decided to use their words instead of mine: "At Chök we love chocolate. Who doesn’t? We’re also passionate about cooking – we love spending time & sharing moments in the kitchen, the true heart of the home. And that’s how we came up with the idea of Chök, home to all things chocolate & the ideal place to try our yummy creations & experiment with amazing flavor combinations. Welcome to Chök, the chocolate kitchen."

Cheesecake Kronut

Here, I tried some bites of 3 different donuts or Kronuts (This is how they call them). First, a Cheesecake Kronut with dark chocolate topping. It’s a pastry donut with chocolate, cream cheese, and strawberry jam on top. A delight. Then a Selva Negra Kronut, this is a typical German cake called Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte that has dark chocolate, whipped cream, liquor, and cherries. This is a classic, and you know, a classic can never go wrong. To finish, a Kinder Kronut: a pastry donut covered with milk chocolate, almonds and a beautiful piece of Kinder Bueno chocolate on top. By now, my blood sugar and my happiness level were peaking. If you are ever around Barcelona and you are feeling like Homer Simpson, but way fancier, come to Chök - you won’t regret it.
