Zelig Restaurant

Zelig is located in the heart of Raval neighborhood, one of the oldest in the city of Barcelona, close to the popular Raval Theatre.

The moment you arrive you find yourself in an unusual place. With a decoration that some will say eclectic and goofy, but awesome. And sometimes it hosts temporary art exhibitions. This is a place with more to offer than just food and drinks.

Pesto

The menu is mainly Italian food: different kinds of pasta, provolone, parmigiana, and some Spanish tapas. The bar offers a variety of cocktails and drinks; the sangría, Negroni, and Mojito were the ones that stuck out to me.

Buffala Salad

Here I tried three dishes, as usual. Starting with a provolone cheese but with a twist, below the wonderful and melted cheese -  tomato sauce, a really great idea of Francesco, the Italian chef in charge. Then I tried a pasta: a classic pesto with mozzarella bufala - a delight. And to finish, a simple but wonderful dessert: Pannacotta. For those of you who don’t know what this is, it is like a ‘flan’ but made of whipped cream, served with some fruit jam and fresh fruits. Long story short, if you’re wandering around Raval in Barcelona and want to try something different, with a twist, don't hesitate to visit Zelig.
