Afternoon Tea with a View
Royals Themed Afternoon in the Shard
Afternoon tea is a British ritual, and it’s something every tourist absolutely must do while visiting London! If you want to elevate your afternoon experience (both literally and figuratively), you should check out the afternoon tea at Ting, a restaurant located in the Shangri-La hotel in The Shard. The Shard is one of the tallest buildings in London, and it’s known as The Shard because it resembles a shard of glass sticking up into the sky. The building had 95 stories, but Ting is located on the 35rd floor. From the Ting dining room, you can enjoy incredible views of the city below! My table for afternoon tea had a lovely view of the Tower of London and Tower Bridge!
Ting’s afternoon tea has seasonal themes, and right now, the tea is themed for the birth of Meghan and Harry’s royal baby! Ting offers a variety of loose-leaf teas and perfectly paired cocktails for this afternoon tea. The full tea comes with finger sandwiches, scones, and beautiful pastries. The pastries were my favorite part because they were so beautifully crafted! Although this experience is pricey, I’m not sure there’s anywhere else in London where you can have afternoon tea with such an incredible view.
