London’s Best Mexican Food at El Pastor

London isn’t known for its Mexican food, but as an American expat living in the UK capital, I was determined to find a Mexican restaurant that compared to the amazing ones we have back home in the states. My favorite by far is El Pastor. This little restaurant is located right by Borough Market, so you can sit outside in their patio area and people watch while you enjoy your tacos! We started with chips, salsa, and guacamole, which was delicious! After that, we had al pastor tacos (which were SO good) for our main, paired with some rich and flavorful black beans.

The tacos were the best I’ve had in London by far. El Pastor also serves delicious drinks- I had a cervesarita, which is basically a frozen margarita with beer, and it was SO refreshing and tasty, and my friend has a perfect margarita!

I really enjoyed by meal at El Pastor, and I’ll definitely be back in the future to get my taco fix. Try to get there early- a line often forms around 6 PM at night and the restaurant fills up pretty fast! Get a table outside with views of the market if the weather is nice.
