Skygarden
London’s Best Free View
There are so many locations throughout London that offer amazing views of the city, including the famous London Eye and The Shard! If you don’t feel like spending over 20 GBP to see the city from above, I highly recommend visiting the Skygarden! The Skygarden is a public garden on the top floor of a skyscraper affectionately known as the “walkie-talkie” because of its unique shape! You can go up to the Skygarden throughout the day to enjoy views of the city. It’s totally free to go up, but I highly recommend booking a time so that you ensure that you get to go to the top – sometimes the lines can be very long. I also recommend visiting the Skygarden just before sunset to enjoy watching the sunset from above and watch as all the city lights turn on at night! There is a terrace that is open until sunset, which is great for photos, and the inside of the building is filled with plants and flowers!
The Skygarden is also home to three restaurants and a bar! You can book tables at the bar, which is perfect if you want a drink with a view! I also had dinner at the Darwin Brasserie with my boyfriend, which we really enjoyed!
