If you’re a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean, or if you’re just looking for a unique night out, you need to check out Pirates of the Hidden Spirit. This pirate-themed immersive drinking experience is set aboard a replica of Sir Francis Drake’s ship The Golden Hinde, making for an ultra-realistic pirate experience. When you step on board the ship, you’ll be greeted by one of the pirates before donning your own three-cornered hat and 18th- century style coat.
The premise of the experience is as follows: you’re a sailor who has been contracted by an American captain to take his boat (filled with riches) back to the USA. Little does he know, the crewmembers are all secretly pirates plotting to steal all the gold! I won’t spoil the ending for you, but you can expect lots of laughs are fun. Pirates of the Hidden Spirit is 34.99 GBP per person, and it includes three cocktails (one welcome drink and two drinks of your choice) during the 1 hour and 45 minute experience. I really recommend this experience to anyone who loves history or immersive theatrical experiences. FYI, this is not an accessible experience – because it’s set aboard a replica ship, you’ll have to squat, duck, climb ladders, and more to navigate the boat.
