Treves & Hyde

If you’re looking for a delicious meal in the Aldgate or Whitechapel neighborhoods in London, head to Treves and Hyde. This restaurant features an adorable coffee shop downstairs, complete with perfectly Instagrammable-décor. Upstairs, you’ll find the restaurant with equally picturesque settings and a view of the street from above. The menu is fairly limited, featuring a range of seasonal dishes, but everything we tried was amazing.

We started with the burrata with pickled peppers and the heirloom tomato salad, which were both delicious and light. I had the gnocchi fricassee for my main, while my parents opted for steak and chicken, and we all thought our meals were delicious. For dessert, we had the chocolate delice, and it was the perfect way to end our meal.

Even though the dishes were very simple, they were all so delicious and beautifully plated. I also tried a few cocktails, and they were very tasty and perfectly balanced! They even had 2 for the price of 1 when we went (early) on a Saturday night!

Although the restaurant wasn’t busy when we visited, we did make reservations in case it was. I would recommend making reservations if you visit on a weekday, because the area is much busier during the workweek! I would definitely recommend grabbing a meal at Treves and Hyde if you’re in the area!
