Oh, Boracay!

Musings on this lovely little island

Somewhere in Station 3.

I’ve seen Boracay at its best and worst. At its best in the early 90s, when 6yo me (pretending to be 7yo) strolled along its sandy shores for the first time. At its worst before it closed for rehab. People say its overrated but its really not the case: One hates Boracay before going there but falls in love with it once they arrive and settled in.

No beachfront in the Philippines is as gorgeous as Boracay. Yeah, Palawan can sweep you off your feet with its marine life and ecotourism but Boracay is Boracay. So despite being crowded (at worst), I still recommend it to friends—one of my top 3 best places to visit in the Philippines.
