Beautiful Tirol, Austria
4 days experiencing the beautiful region of Tirol
I have heard many stories about how Beautiful Tirol is. Coming from Switzerland where we are surrounded by the Alps I thought Austria would be just as beautiful. We arrived at the airport with the mountains just behind us, definitely one of the most beautiful airports I have been too. The people of Tirol are also very very friendly….if you can speak their language. If you can't they are still friendly but not as much. In the four days we were there we rented a car and drove around practically most of Tirol and ending up on top of a glacier with was 3042 m above sea level.
The 3 photos you see before you is from the mountiamscape 3042m above sea level and another place called plan see, which is the 3rd photo.
Plan see is an area which is so so peaceful and quiet just like the house you see reflecting in the water. Imagine living there and being constantly surrounded by nature and mountains. It is dead silent unless a car drives past. I love driving around areas like this and just admiring the nature and taking a break from the real world.
Next was the mountain of Soeldon. This is where they shot the James Bond film, Spectre. Once you are up there you are surrounded by 360 degrees of alps and the glass building you see is a restaurant called ICE Q.
"It's surreal and looks like a painting”, raved movie star Dave Bautista, when he arrived at the summit for the first time. In SPECTRE, the ice Q shines not as a gourmet restaurant but as the futuristic Hoffler Clinic, in which Daniel Craig alias James Bond meets Bond Girl Dr. Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux) for the first time and then engages in action-packed scenes with the henchmen Christoph Waltz. Soelden is a must visit place if you are ever in Tirol, especially if you are a massive James Bond fan because trust me, the 007 Elements are absolutely Incredible.
