Visiting Oslo and Sjusjøen

A Icy Road in Sjusjøen

I recently had the opportunity to visit Oslo, and Sjusjøen in Norway and it was everything I had imagined it to be. From the people to the food to the landscape. I was there for only 4 days but I didn't want to leave. It was January so we were in the midst of winter, I absolutely loved it because you got to pack layers onto layers, and the streets were completely covered in snow. It was literally a winter wonderland. Oslo has so much to offer, you can be looking at the city, then a 30-minute tram ride later you are up on the hills in the forest with a 360 degrees panoramic view of the city. The first photo is one I took from the top of a Ski jump ramp. The ramp was massive and it gave me chills just looking down it. People actually ski down this ramp at full speed then lift off into the air and fly like an eagle whilst overlooking Oslo.

Next, we went to SjuSjøen, a tiny ski village. It is such a beautiful and peaceful town with nothing but forest and nature surrounding you and impeccable views. If you ever have the chance to visit Oslo or Sjusjøen I highly recommend you do it. It’s an absolutely incredible city and the people there are so friendly and welcoming that you feel as if you never left home.
