The Grand Palace in Bangkok
After a day in Bangkok, we went to see The Grand Palace in Bangkok
Built-in 1782 - and for 150 years the home of the Thai King. Inside the palace complex are several buildings including Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha), which contains the small, very famous and much revered Emerald Buddha that dates back to the 14th century. The king, his court, and his royal government resided on the grounds of the palace until 1925.
You have to come early to avoid the crowd, the palace open at 8h30. The entrance is a bit confusing; you will need to follow the group :)
For any temple, you want to visit; you will have to remove your shoes. Also with your ticket, you get a free water bottle so that you can enjoy your visit with no stress.
It feels quiet and very spiritual; you will love this place. Also, you can spot a few monks walking by and doing some prayers.
The entrance price is 500 baht, $15.97; it is worst it, you will love it, trust me.
Everything is so beautiful and magnificent; there are so many details everywhere. You can spend a few hours easily.
