Camaya - Your Bamboo Dream House

Imagine waking up to nothing but the sound of singing birds and crisp fresh air, where the sounds of motorbikes & traffic are non-existent and the views are breathtaking! Yes, this is a real place- welcome to my bamboo dream house!

Camaya is such a unique place to spend a night or two. Located in a secluded location in a part of East Bali that has remained largely untouched so it still has it’s original local vibe. We spent a night in the ‘Lotus Bamboo House’ and it was honestly magical! There are four individual houses that make up Camaya, each entirely special with a design of its own. The ‘Lotus Bamboo House’ as you can probably guess, looks like a lotus flower- if you were looking down from a birds-eye view.

I love the way the house is designed- completely open plan, you really feel at one with nature. Whether I was lounging in the netted bed (which might I add, are a signature attraction at Camaya), or relaxing in the private outdoor jacuzzi- you cannot escape the views! The green lush jungle valley below you is the perfect backdrop to this enchanting little house.

When we arrived, we were greeted by probably some of the kindest & friendliest people I have ever met. It really adds so much value to the experience to be welcomed and instantly feel like part of the family.

So if you ever need an escape from the hustle and bustle of the main touristy towns in Bali, don’t think twice about heading to Camaya. It’s one of Bali’s most Instagram famous Airbnb ‘glamping experiences’ and I can totally see why!

Just something to be aware of though friends, if you are looking at booking to spend some time at the amazing Camaya- it does get extremely popular! These one of a kind bamboo homes book out for MONTHS in advance, so be prepared that you won’t get a reservation right away.
