Hoi An ancient town, once a key trading hub in Southeast Asia during the 16th and 17th centuries, is known for its small size and walkable streets. Unlike larger cities, traffic here is light, making it easy for visitors to explore. The town's architecture showcases strong Chinese influences, with many buildings dating back over a century. These characteristics enhance the appeal of Hoi An ancient town for tourists.

The Itinerary:

The Hoi An City Tour begins at either 8:00 a.m, when a guide meets guests at their hotel in central Hoi An.

The first stop is Cam Thanh coconut village, visitors to this attraction can enjoy a ride in a basket boat to take in the stunning views of the coconut forest. They will also have the chance to watch local fishermen go about their daily routines among the trees.

One highlight is the basket boat dance, where fishermen showcase their impressive navigation skills. Additionally, friendly boatmen will create natural decorations like hats, rings, and cups from coconut leaves for guests.

Around 11 a.m. to 12:00 a.m, lunch will be served at a village eatery or a local restaurant in Hoi An.

The next stop is the lively Hoi An Market, a sensory delight filled with vibrant colors and sounds - a must see for shoppers.

After purchasing entrance tickets included in the tour price, guests will stroll through Hoi An ancient town. They will encounter well-preserved homes that have endured two centuries of history. The guide will share stories about the prosperous merchants who once inhabited these houses and traded globally.

Next, participants will visit the Japanese Covered Bridge, built over 400 years ago to link Japanese and Chinese communities across a small waterway. Inside the bridge are intricate carvings and paintings that reflect its cultural significance.

The tour continues at Phuc Kien Chinese Assembly Hall, where visitors can admire colorful gates and dragon statues while learning about ancestor worship practices at family altars.

Guests will also explore local handicraft shops and art galleries before wandering through smaller streets to experience more of Hoi An’s charm.

At either 4:00 p.m, the guide will return participants to their hotel, concluding their city tour of Hoi An.
