Port De Pollenças is a small town in northern Majorca, Spain, situated on the Bay of Pollença. It is a stunning place to go on holiday with a beautiful coastline lined by palm trees with a faint view of mountains lining the bay. Undoubtedly an ideal place to unwind, eat nice food, day drink, enjoy scenic walks and simply relax by day, accompanied by a buzzing nightlife once the sun sets.

The luxury wellness and spa Hotel Illa d'or is a luxury hotel that has had the pleasure of welcoming famous authors, singers, and actors, naturally possessing a great reputation. It homes the restaurant 1929 which has an additional outdoor a la carte gourmet restaurant called ‘La Terrassa’. We were looking for somewhere nice to have dinner ideally where we could dine outside to take in the summer evening.

La Terrassa was perfect for this and luckily for us, we got one of the best tables that was right on the water's edge, overlooking the Mediterranean with the sunset setting over the mountains. It really was such a beautiful backdrop, with a relaxing atmosphere and luxurious feel to it.

La Terrassa serves lunch and dinner in the peak summer months and boasts an exquisite menu suitable for vegetarians, gluten intolerant and diabetic diets all paired with impeccable customer service.

They also provide a very popular and classic "Afternoon Tea", served from 2 pm. We had such a lovely evening, with the savory truffle bites being my memorable highlight from the menu.

It is highly recommended that you book ahead as guests of the hotel are also dining there so tables are in high demand. There are many great restaurants within the town of Port De Pollença but if you’re looking for something with spectacular views and away from the hustle and bustle of the town center then this is the ideal spot for you.
