Mexico's City Center
Mexico City, Mexico
The historic center of Mexico City is the largest and most typical of Latin America, one of the most important touristic places in the world and the leading cultural tourism destination in Mexico.
This place has some of the most important cultural treasures of the country and some architecture jewels. Heres how to spend your day in Mexico City!
You can start your day by visiting some history museums like "Templo Mayor" where you'll find a lot of prehispanic culture from the Mexican civilizations. It's only about $3 to get in, and it is at the Zócalo stop on the train.
After that, you can continue your tour and climb to the top of the Latin-American tower and see one of the most impressive views of your life and take amazing pictures. It is open every day and costs $5 to go up. You can find the tower at the San Juan de Letrán train station.
Then I would recommend eating in "La Casa de Los Azulejos" or "House of Tiles" in Madero Street, next to Latin-American Tower.
The building is distinguished by its façade, which is covered by blue and white tiles and it was built in the 18th century.
Inside, there is one of the most famous chain restaurants in Mexico called Sanborns, and it offers all kind of Mexican food both spicy and non-spicy for all tastes. The food is about $15 per person.
The historic center is completely safe for walking around during the day and night, and accessible via many different metro lines. Once there, everything is in walking distancf one another.
