24 Hours in New York City
From Manhattan to Brooklyn. How we navigated NYC
Out of all the places we visited in America. New York had to be my favorite. Everyone who has been there talks so highly of New York and how it’s the place to be and all that so I arrived not having any expectations but damn was I blown away. Their infustructure is absolutely incredible, the buildings, the bridges all designed and constructed so well. Their streets can stretch for miles all in a straight line. Their subway is extremely efficient and mostly safe depending on where you go. I read somewhere that New York is one of the safest places in America because of the NYPD. I couldn’t agree more, there are police everywhere and help is always just around the corner. I honestly felt really safe when I was there.
Times Square is obviously a must visit place and although it was incredible to see, I think it is a tiny bit glorified, Tokyo’s Shibuya district is better in my opinion.
What I really loved was a place called DUMBO in Brooklyn. There is a street in DUMBO where you have a small part of the bridge as the backdrop to the street and in the middle of the bridge as if framed like that by purpose the Chrysler or empire state building is seen. I always get both confused. If you are planning to visit America you have to put New York on your itinerary because it’s an absolutely amazing city and I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I did.
