Staying at Koza Cave Hotel in Cappadocia

Visiting Cappadocia has been a dream of mine for so long, after seeing so many beautiful photos flooding my social media. I have to say that it is as magical in real life as it is in the pictures you see online

When planning your upcoming trip to Cappadocia, one of the most important things to do first is securing a hotel that gives you the best possible stay. It makes a big difference in how you see the sunrise with balloons covering the skies!

Highest rooftop balcony in Cappadocia Highest rooftop balcony in Cappadocia

The hotel with the absolute best view is Koza Cave Hotel. This family-run place has the highest rooftop terrace in Cappadocia. Waking up early before sunrise is not my favorite part, but once you reach the beautifully decorated rooftop with pillows and carpets, you instantly realize that a magical balloon show is about to start. From sunrise, for around 2-hours you will see between 100-200 balloons covering the sky. Truly a once in a lifetime experience that I highly recommend everyone adding to their list.

Too many beautiful spots at this hotel! Too many beautiful spots at this hotel!

After the balloons are back on the ground, it’s time to enjoy the breakfast. I mention often that breakfast is my favorite meal, but that’s an understatement at this hotel. This was truly one of the best I have ever had! So many choices of different foods, all prepared fresh every morning, it was super delicious!

Beautiful typical cave hotel! Beautiful typical cave hotel!

I stayed in a cave room, which is very typical in Cappadocia. It was really spacious, super clean and well heated while it was pretty cold outside. The rest of the hotel has several nice sitting areas to enjoy the sun or a cup of coffee! Definitely, my number 1 recommendation to stay in Cappadocia..
