Yangon, Myranmar
Yangon is really interesting because it is still relatively untouched by the western world. Walking around the streets, I noticed there were no McDonalds, Starbucks or other chain restaurants.
Street from the overpass
Dilapidated buildings are strangely beautiful. Mix of British colonial architecture.
I found the people very friendly even though they spoke little English. Unlike other Southeast Asian countries, I wasn't worried about getting hustled. Hopefully the influx of tourism won't affect Yangon's charm.

If you don't have a lot of time, hop on the Circle Line to take a ride around Central Yangon. It's a great way to get a sense of the city, local people, and culture.
