Nakupenda
The island that is born every day in Zanzibar
Have you ever dreamed of living on a desert island? Being a pirate? And an explorer?
In the place I will be talking to you today you can do and become what you want for a whole day.
Today I want to take you with me to Nakupenda, a strip of sand at the Zanzibar argon, which is born and dies every day according to local elders.
If I imagine paradise, I imagine it exactly like this, a strip of white sand in the middle of crystal clear blue waters full of a thousand colorful fish.
I left just before dawn on a small boat that gave me very little confidence and after 40 minutes of browsing, we spotted it. The sun rose and the island was slowly born. The local boys have set up an Arab tent for the hottest hours and where we have had lunch prepared with the daily caught barbecue.
A thousand dives, incredible snorkeling, good food, good company, and a surreal place.
If you are in Zanzibar it is one of the excursions that you can't miss!
Any useful advice? Lots of sunscreen and water!
