Batty Langley’s Hotel
London’s Most Unique Boutique Hotel
Looking for a boutique hotel in the heart of east London? Book a stay at Batty Langley’s Hotel! This small, charming hotel is one of the best I’ve stayed at in London, and its beautiful Georgian décor is absolutely stunning.
When you walk into the lobby, you’ll notice that it feels like you’ve traveled back in time hundreds of year thanks to the antique furniture and old portraits that line the halls. The ground floor features a few guest spaces, like a library and a study!
There’s no restaurant on-site, but there is an “honor bar” downstairs where you can serve yourself a number of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages. For breakfast, you can choose from 4 options, including berries and yogurt or a smoked salmon bagel, served with juice and a hot drink, for just under 12 GBP, delivered to your door at a time of your choosing. We opted for the breakfast everyday, and it was well worth the price for the convenience and the quality.
Each room is unique, inspired by someone who lived in the historic Spitalfields neighborhood at some point in its history. The rooms are decorated with beautiful period furnishings. One room we stayed in even had a wooden, throne-like toilet and claw foot tub! We loved this hotel so much that we actually stayed there twice during one trip- and both rooms we stayed in were beautiful. The staff were also lovely at Batty Langley’s, so I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London.
