Macaron Class at Le Foodist

France has some of the best food in the world. From duck confit to buttery croissants, there are so many incredible foods to try in the French capital. When I lived in Paris, I practically ate my way through the city, trying every pastry I came across.

One of the most famous pastries in France is the macaron. Macarons are round sandwich cookies, known for their cute appearance and light and sweet taste. After living in Paris for a few months, I decided to take a cooking class to learn how to make this quintessential French treat. I took the “Macarons in Paris” class at Le Foodist, and I had a wonderful time learning about this pastry while getting my hands dirty in the kitchen.

The classes at Le Foodist and interactive and intimate- there were only about 7 other people in my class- so you have plenty of opportunities to get involved in the baking processes! Throughout the class, you’ll learn all sorts of French baking tricks to create the perfect macaron. Once they’re finished, you get to sit and enjoy your creations with the rest of your classmates over a cup of tea. I even got to take home a box of macarons to share with my friends!
