The Grid - London
Immersive bars are having a moment in London. In the past year, several new experiential cocktail bars have opened, serving drinks along with interactive experiences with themes that include the old American west, pirates, and World War II espionage. Each of these bars is amazingly detailed, and they all include an element of theater as the actors and bartenders stay perfectly in character throughout the night. The Grid is one of the newest venues in this category, and it offers an experience like no other bar in London.
The Grid is best described as part cocktail bar, part escape room, all with a “Black Mirror”-esque twist. When you enter The Grid, you become part of an interactive storyline that focuses on an evil artificial intelligence company and the resistance that seeks to overthrow it. While I won’t spoil the ending for you, I can say that The Grid is one of the most exciting and intriguing immersive bars in the city.
If you’re going to visit The Grid, be sure to book in advance! The ticket price covers two cocktails, the full experience, and a little costume to wear during your mission. The whole experience is impeccably themed and so well put together, so I’d highly recommend it to any Londoner or tourist looking for an exciting (and very unique) night out!
