Las Vegas: Beyond the City Lights
Exploring the deserts of Vegas
Everyone dreams of visiting Vegas someday and when they do they realize it’s exactly like in the movies. The gambling areas are massive, absolutely massive. They have parties every night and their taco bell has a DJ in it and tanks of soda just for decoration. It’s like a real-life fantasy world that disconnects from the real world. Incredible.
We hired a Ford Mustang whilst we were there and drove to a place called the Valley of Fire. It’s a National Park and it gets its name from the red rocks. The place was unlike anything I had ever experienced. Seeing just a vast landscape stretch past the horizon, crystal blue skies and winding roads with no end in sight. It was funny because I asked the patrol officer where there was a long empty road and he showed me a place on the map and said, “You won't run into any cops there don't worry”. It was funny because he thought I wanted to speed in my mustang but I just wanted a photo of a long empty road. America is actually what it looks like through the photos. Its landscape is truly stunning; it’s truly a world of its own. If you ever have the chance to visit Las Vegas you definitely should. Oh and go to the Hells Kitchen restaurant by Gordon Ramsay. It’s simply stunning and the food will blow your mind.
