Watching In Awe -Venice Beach Skate Park
A dream coming to reality
Everyone dreams of one day seeing the Venice Beach Skate Park. It’s so well known by the world and one of the only skate parks located on the beach. It’s a 16,000 Sq. foot skate park so yes it’s pretty huge. There are always a ton of people there watching a cheering. When I went it turned out to be everything that I hoped it to be. It looked exactly the way it was portrayed and there were people ripping up and shredding on the pipes and inside the bowl. You could watch these skaters for a day easily as their talent is just out of this world. The skate park also seems like a place where skaters and others meet up and hangout. Whilst we were there we watched for around an hour and a half and there was this little kid no older than 7 years old. At first I thought there is no way he is going into that bowl, but off he went and it was as if the skateboard was stuck to his feet. Not only did he skate inside the bowl but he also launched out of it and got some insane air. It’s crazy what you see and the sheer talent that comes from that skate park. The best thing is it’s such a lovely and peaceful environment. Everyone is either skating or just watching. After watching the skater’s head down to the Santa Monica Pier. If you walk to towards the beach and look towards your right you’ll see the pier in the distance. It is around a 40-50 minute walk but if you walk along Venice beach Broadway it’ll be a great experience and time will fly past.
