Discovering Japan
The amazing Japan
Japan is a land that bases its roots in ancient traditions that combines the ancient with the modern and that knows how to amaze with its countryside full of rice paddies and the cities made from high palaces.
Todai-ji is a Buddhist temple located in the city of Nara, the ancient capital of Japan. Inside are masterpieces such as the Great Buddha Hall made entirely of wood and then again the bronze statue of Vairocana Buddha.
Kinkaku-ji is a Zen temple located north of Kyoto, easily recognizable because it is almost entirely covered with real gold leaves. The temple was originally the villa of the Ashikaga shogun and overlooks a large pond.
Growing tall on the edges of Kyoto, the Sagano Bamboo Forest is a once tranquil nature spot.
