Mount View Hakone Stay
Japanese experience
After a few days in Tokyo. We had to continue our trip and the next destination was a small town named Hakone.
It was in the mountain not far from Tokyo and our stay was inside an amazing traditionally styled Japanese building. When you arrive they provide you with a kimono that you are to wear to go to the restaurant and the Onsen.
They teach you how to traditionally wrap it and they even provide special socks that are to be worn with the traditional shoes of Japan. It’s like nothing I have experienced before and felt fully immersed in this small but crucial part of Japanese culture.
We were very impressed by our room. The suite contained a traditional tatami area, a separate room with raised twin futon beds, and an amazing private hot spring bath.
The private onsen Kaguya where we got to enjoy rare volcanic hot spring water (called Nigori-yu). This was of course the main attraction for us.
The meals were out of this world and at the end of each meal you go into the onsen, a natural hot spring which is perfect after a long day and an amazing meal.
We had a Beautiful view of Mount Fuji and couldnt have asked for a more authentic Japenese experience.
