This Pizza is the most "Wanted" of Rome
Via Leonina 90 | Rione Monti, 00184 Rome, Italy
Tucked away on a narrow road that leads to the Colosseum, "Wanted" restaurant is a lovely place to try true Italian cuisine and experience privacy in a romantic way. We were wandering around the center of Rome looking for a place to eat when we saw this restaurant filled with people and decided to waltz in. Don't believe the "hamburgeria" in the sign. This is no burger joint!
Delicious aroma overwhelmed us as we walked in and as we got settled we were pleased to find the staff so accommodating and friendly. This is one of those places where the waiters don't speak English but the menu is not difficult to decipher.
It was our first day in Rome and we wanted to taste infamous Italian pizza so we decided to stick with the classic Margherita (tomato, mozzarella cheese, and basil) and Capricciosa (served with tomato, cheese, olives, ham, mushrooms, artichokes, and an egg), rather than try the rest of the vast menu.
The combination of ham, olives, artichokes, and mushroom was amazing and the dough (which is why Italian pizza is so delicious) was unparalleled.
After having the best pizza we've had in a while we had dessert consisting of chocolate cake with vanilla icecream for myself and vanilla with passion fruit ice cream for my husband.
Overall Great location. Great atmosphere and we would definitely return.
