As soon as we walked in..
Does the thought of shopping in Milan put a smile on your face and make you open a new tab where you proceed to look at the next possible flight out? Well, imagine shopping in Milan whilst having access to luxury brands at discounted prices. I can’t deny that I was in my element and admittedly I had no idea Serravalle shopping outlet existed until my friend scheduled that into our itinerary.
You need to book a coach to the outlet, which takes around an hour and picks you up in central Milan and drops you back off. It’s so easy and to be honest, I quite enjoyed the drive away from the centre and taking in the countryside views. Once we arrived I remember thinking how pretty the outlet was, it genuinely reminded me of a picturesque toy town that I could not WAIT to explore.
With Serravalle shopping outlet claiming the throne of the largest designer outlet in Europe, there is no surprise that the shops seemed to be endless, from fashion to beauty and home, you’re spoiled for choice and you must be prepared to spend money. The temptation was unreal... Yes, I will be heading back to by this one beautiful Prada bag I was pondering over for too long.
After a few hours of shopping, we sat down and had a well deserved Aperol spritz and some nibbles accompanied by people watching (the sheer amount of fashionistas were addictive to watch). There is a beautiful array of places to eat, from expensive sit in restaurants to affordable cafes, coffee shops and these really cute themed trucks that were dotted around the outlet. We had the most delicious pasta dish from one of them (sadly no photo evidence), luckily the food trucks had seating so we didn’t have to walk and eat.
My friend and I had such a lovely afternoon and if (when) I go back to Milan I’ll be paying another visit. It’s perfect if you want to have a full-on shopping spree or simply have a casual browse and have some lunch. Highly recommend!
