If you only have one day to explore London, there are a few things you absolutely must do! Get an early start and take a DIY walking tour of the city’s main monuments! Be sure to check out Tower Bridge (London’s most famous bridge, often mistaken for “London Bridge”), Buckingham Palace- the Queen’s main residence, and maybe even take a spin around the London Eye Ferris wheel! Be sure to also check out Trafalgar Square, home to the National Gallery, and Westminster Abbey, the famous church where many of the royal weddings are held.
Once you’ve worked up an appetite, go for afternoon tea! I loved the tea at Sketch. It was pricey, but the beautiful setting and delicious pastries were worth the splurge for me! That night, see a show on London’s famous West End. There are always a ton of different musicals and plays on, so choose whatever you’re most interested in! I recommend seeing Hamilton or Come From Away.
Finally, grab a tipple before bed at one of London’s fun, themed cocktail bars! Swingers is a mini golf bar where you can putt the night away with friends, and Discount Suit Company is a cozy speakeasy with delicious cocktails located in east London.
