Visiting Kew Gardens
A Day Trip in London
If you’re looking to escape the hustle and bustle of London, head to Kew Gardens for a day trip! This spring, my friend and I went to Kew Gardens to spend an afternoon walking through the gardens! It took us a little over an hour to get to the gardens via bus from central London, but I think it was worth it! When we went, the famous glass artist Chihuly had an exhibition in the garden, so we went to see his works in a small museum before exploring the park. They also had his impressive glass sculptures positioned throughout the greenhouses and gardens, which was really cool.
After we went to the museum, we headed to one of a few greenhouses! Inside, you can see so many beautiful plants and flowers. We left the greenhouse and walked through the gardens, and I was so surprised by how large they are! Even though this is a popular tourist attraction, there isn’t much of a crowd once you get away from the exhibitions and the greenhouses.
Wandering through Kew Gardens is a great way to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon in London, especially if you’re looking for a break from the skyscrapers and busy streets of the city.
