Opera In The Gardens
Gardens by the Bay, Singapore
They say, "The best things in life are free." Gardens by the Bay was by far the best things I experienced in Singapore that costs $0.
Call me cliche, but, I was mesmerized by the architecture and composition of the supertrees. It feels like you are in another world, as most people would say, "Avatar in real life."
On my second day in Singapore, I spent almost the entire half of my day here. Prior to coming here, I was at the Art and Science Museum, Cloud Forest and Flower Dome. After museum hopping, I spent the rest of the afternoon and evening in the area. I walked around Dragonfly lake and read one of the books I brought with me.
Garden Rhapsody happens every night, twice a night at 7.45pm and 8.45pm. There is a different theme which varies for a few weeks at a time. The show I saw at the time was Opera in the Gardens. The performance featured classical music and theatre songs, such as Carmen and The Phantom of the Opera.
There is a skywalk called, OCBC which costs 8 SG dollars to walk along. I did not get the chance to do so. However, if you do go I would see the view from a new perspective. There are also food trucks during the day that sell light lunches and snacks.
Experiencing Gardens by the Bay is one of the reasons why I would like to come back to Singapore. It is a photographer's paradise.
