TEQUILA FACTORY
JALISCO, MÉXICO
The Mexican state of Jalisco is located in northwestern Mexico. This state is famous as the birthplace of mariachi, tequila and Mexico's national sport, charreria (Mexican rodeo). It's home to the second largest city in the country, Guadalajara, as well as one of the best-loved beach destinations, Puerto Vallarta. The best part about this city? Tequila!
Tequila is one of the most famous alcoholic drinks in the world. Made from the blue agave plant, primarily in the area surrounding the city of Tequila, it is one of the many things people know about Mexico. So how about a tour inside a tequila factory in Jalisco.
Mexican laws state that tequila can only be produced in the state of Jalisco
In my trip there I had the opportunity to visit "Tres Mujeres" along with my friends.
The tour started with the guide explaining to us the process of making the drink which includes a lot of steps to get to the final product. After that they took us to have a taste of their brand of tequila which was very nice!
When the tasting was over the tour continued on another place which is where they age the final product and keep it while it gains its final flavor.
The landscape of this place is beautiful because you get to see entire fields of the agave plant while you're on the highway.
