Australian Brekky at Social Brew
Starting the day perfectly in Burleigh Heads
I’ve never been a morning person in my life until I decided that I needed to establish a daily routine in order to take better care of myself. It’s been nearly six months that I wake up before 7am because my body is slowly getting used to the adjustment. There is definitely nothing better than kick-starting the day with an energetic morning routine and the first step, also the most important is a rich and nutrient breakfast. As Australian people call it, “Breakky”, is also the meal I prefer the most. This morning Simone and I were in Burleigh Heads, a small town in the Gold Coast, and we found a place that has since become my favorite to get breakfast at. Social Brew.
This hidden place conquered my heart thanks to its style: wooden furniture and cute plants hung from the ceiling. In fact, they were the main reasons I decided to go in. Once we stepped in and we had a look at the menu we also realized that we had made the right choice following our instincts. From the basic egg and bacon roll, omelettes and eggs royal we had plenty of choices.
Cold drinks, all variety of coffee and teas, smoothies and all kinds of the healthiest latte were included on the menu and everything was surprisingly cheap! I chose the mango bowl with coconut milk, granola and seasonal fruit with a chai latte while Simone went for a Burleigh big breakfast with eggs, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, and spinach plus a flat white.
And guess what? Everything came to 20 dollars, just incredible. We’ll come back for sure and if anyone is passing by I want you to check this amazing place and get a brekky for me! Yes, that's an order! :)
