Take a Day Trip to Mostar, Bosnia
Croatia to Bosnia and back in 24 hours
The cool part about Croatia is that it’s on the border of 5 countries, and Dubrovnik in particular (very long and narrow) is super close to Bosnia Herzegovina, and Montenegro (only about 10 km away actually), so it’s easy to see a whole new country while you’re there! Although we did a tour to Mostar (Bosnia Herzegovina) which cost around £40 each, we suggest hiring a car which will cost around £40 for the day, saving you half of what the tour would cost for two, and allowing you to go further, see more, and go at your own pace.
The tour took us in a minivan across the border and through to Kravice waterfalls, where we got an hour to explore and have a dip in the water. We then headed onwards to Mostar, which possibly has the cutest old town we’d ever seen. If you’ve ever been to Istanbul, it will feel similar in the way of their countless Turkish bazaars and a similar general atmosphere, except there are mountains surrounding the town and much smaller, quaint streets. It’s just stunning.
Stop for a coffee or some lunch, everything is so much cheaper once you cross the border.
