Cakes and Bubbles

When I saw the cheese-shaped cheese cakes from Cake and Bubbles on Instagram, I knew I would have to visit this unique restaurant. Cake and Bubbles is a restaurant by Albert Adria that offers a range of beautiful and innovative pastries and champagne. The restaurant opened in 2016, but it became really popular recently when its cheese-shaped cheese cake went viral online. I had the cheese cake for myself last month, and it totally lives up to the hype. The delicate cake is shaped like a round cheese, with a faux rind and label that says the name of the restaurant. Although it is called the “cheesecake,” it is not like your traditional New York style cheesecake. This pastry is intensely rich with a strong cheese flavor, and it is made with a Brie cheese. The cheese flavor pairs well with the hazelnut and white chocolate flavors in the dish, and the pastry is served with shortbread “crackers” that you can spread your “cheese” onto.

Cake and Bubbles is located on Regent Street in the heart of London, just steps away from Picadilly Circus. Each cheese cake is 12 GBP, and champagne starts at 9 GBP per glass. I highly recommend splitting the cake with a friend because even though it is small, it is very rich.
