Hotel Podstine

If you’re planning to visit Croatia than you can’t skip visiting the beautiful island of Hvar. Hvar is known as the sunniest island in Croatia, and I can confirm that as someone who has been there every summer since before I can remember. It’s only 2 hours away from my hometown Makarska, and I have never experienced rain or any bad weather there in all those years. Hvar gained its popularity because a lot of celebrities would visit and because of the Ultra Europe Music Festival, that takes place there. One of my favourite hotels there is hotel Podstine. It’s located under a big rock and you need to pass through a really tiny tunnel to get there. The hotel gained its name because of that rock. Rock in Croatian means “Stina”, and the name Podstine translates to “Under the rock”. The hotel has a beautiful private beach, a diving school, if you want to learn how to dive, beautiful and comfortable rooms, a big swimming pool and amazing food in their restaurant. The city center is only 15 minutes walking distance, and you can enjoy beautiful views during a walk on the island. Hotel staff is really kind and helpful with transport from city center to the hotel and with all other useful information that you might need during your trip. Hotel Podstine is my favorite place when I need to escape to paradise and flee from my busy schedule.
