The Coral room saloon bar is nothing short of luxurious, stylish with interior goals to die for. The candle aroma as soon as you enter the door gets me EVERY time. Hands down one of my favorite places to enjoy an espresso martini (or 3) or share a bottle of red with friends. For me personally, it is the perfect place to unwind after a day at work, with an array of comfy seating and smooth yet subtle jazz music in the background, although on Fridays there is the treat of a jazz band that plays elegantly. The decor honestly makes you feel like you’ve gone back to the sixties with smartly dressed waiters treating you like royalty.
One day we were feeling a bit peckish so we decided to order some a couple of small plates to go with our drinks, aside from the obligatory olives and nuts that you get given on arrival. We decided to go for Classic Cumberland Sausage Roll & Relish with parmesan and truffle fries, and to no surprise, it didn’t disappoint and we will undoubtedly be ordering them again! We must have enjoyed it as we didn’t even stop to take a photo before we dived in (not like me at all!).
You can find this beautiful bar in Bloomsbury, of which it is a part of the sophisticated Bloomsbury hotel. Just a short walk across the hallway away is the Dalloway Terrace restaurant, which I’ll share in another post!
