Ivy Brasserie
Where you can find a delicious brunch
Finally I found some weekend time, with some friends, to try a place I had spotted in a lot, The Ivy Brasserie, on High Street Kensington. You can find this place also in Marylebone and Soho but from what is said the quality is excellent everywhere.
I opted for a weekend brunch in Kensington for being close to home and I have to say that the general opinion does not lie.
Despite going over the weekend and therefore crowded the staff know how to make you feel welcome. The staff is attentive, fast and very willing to satisfy your every request.
The restaurant has an elegantly retro style that recalls one of those old ballrooms that we see in black and white photos at the home of the grandmother of a distant relative. The furniture is studied in detail, nothing out of place, all designed to make the customer feel well cared for. But this is especially why this restaurant has a good nomination.
The menu has a wide selection with vegetarian and vegan options. Whether you want something sweet, typical, salty or fancy, you can easily be satisfied.
I recommend the avocado toast, the taste is not boring as usual but fresh with a different aftertaste, one of the best I've eaten here in London.
The quality of the raw materials seems excellent and I find that with regard to brunch there is an excellent quality price.
