Advent on Stross

The Strossmayer Promenade is one of the most famous sights of Zagreb's Upper Town. Definitely an indispensable place in Zagreb for tourists as you visit the part of “Zagreb on a hill” where almost 80 % of the sights of the Croatian metropolis are located. The promenade is made by an alley of chestnut trees with a beautiful view on the Lower Town. During Advent, the so-called Stross turns into a real small town, beautifully decorated with Christmas lights and with many stands where you can taste dozens of sausages, famous sarma (stuffed cabbage) that the Balkans simply love to eat in the winter, famous Croatian fritters with various toppings and hundreds of drinks alcoholic and non-alcoholic as well as locally produced beers. Everywhere in Zagreb during the Advent is a good atmosphere, but because of the offer of numerous live performances and good music, there is always a good mood and a dance team at Stross. It is advisable to bring your pets there as well because something can be found there for their muzzles as well. Stross has always been the most romantic part of Zagreb, so during Advent, it is advisable to memorialize the holiday moments with your loved ones at some of the photo points, whether you came there with a partner or with a member of your family. Advent on Stross, come and feel it - Zagreb is waiting for you!
