Sunday Roast at Blacklock Shoreditch

Sunday roast is a British tradition, and even though I’ve lived in London for a year, I still had not tried it until recently! Originally, when I thought of Sunday roast, I imagined my grandmother’s beef roast, but Blacklock has taken the traditional roast up a notch!

My parents and I got the “All In” roast, which included a mix of dry aged beef rump, lamb leg, and pork loin. Each meat was moist and delicious, and they were served with corresponding sauces that were super tasty. The roast is served with seasonal vegetables (carrots and cabbage which I went), Yorkshire puddings, amazing gravy, and the crispiest potatoes roasted in duck fat. If this seems super meat-heavy, don’t worry! They have vegetarian options too! They also offer cocktails for 5 GBP, which is an absolute steal for London.

This is the perfect place to start a Sunday afternoon out in Shoreditch! Blacklock is located near the famous Brick Lane Sunday Market and the Columbia Road Flower Market, making it a great first stop on an afternoon out! Be sure to book a table ahead of time because this Sunday roast is super popular! There are also locations in Soho and the City of London.
